Danny Beissel - Lead Vocals/Guitar/Songwriter/Actor
Danny Beissel is an American rock/blues vocalist born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. A former actor, Beissel studied method acting in the early 1990s, with roles in numerous independent films and stage shows. His passion for the arts and the stage later led him to pursue a music career as a singer/songwriter playing solo and in various bands in the Philadelphia area.
In 2005, he joined the blues-based hard rock band that would later become known as Fosterchild. This project would quickly gain national attention and the band was signed to the SMG/ILG/WARNER record label from 2007-2010. Their debut release, Independence Day, was co-produced by Pete Thornton and Brett Hestla (Creed, Dark New Day, Virgos Merlot).
Fosterchild and SMG/ILG/WARNER parted ways in 2010 and the band focused its attention on writing its next record. During this time, the group submitted its music to Armed Forces Radio and quickly found themselves as one of the top requested bands with its hit single “Bulletproof”. The band was so popular with the armed forces, in fact, that it was asked to perform a special New Year’s Eve concert in 2010 at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Today, Beissel is a touring musician and singer and has shared the stage with such acts as:
